Vision, mission and philosophy
We are a Christ-centred, independent school for ages 3-16 years in Witney near Oxford, nurturing children in godly character and strong academic development. It’s this balance of educational and spiritual growth that sets us apart.
Our aim is to support parents by helping children reach their full potential, build their relationship with God, and serve and influence others through their actions and attitudes.
How do we do this?
Biblical wisdom
We want to give children the opportunity to develop their relationship with God, have enquiring minds, and a positive attitude to learning. This flows from knowing the Word of God and applying it through every area of the curriculum. The Bible shows us the heart of God and leads us to wise behaviour.
Spirit-led faith
The empowering Holy Spirit gives us courage to break free from the limitations we put on ourselves. It spurs us on to develop our God-given gifts and character, to share the gospel and to discover God’s purpose for our lives.
Sacrificial love
God tells us to love each other as we love ourselves – this is the radical ‘agape’ love of Christ that took him to the cross. We are humble towards one another, with strong relationships between teachers, pupils and the wider community. We become a family, emulating the love of Jesus, and children go out into the world with kindness and integrity at their core.
Our philosophy
The school is owned by Oxfordshire Community Churches. Their churches are members of the Evangelical Alliance. You can find out more about our philosophy on the Statement of Faith page of the Evangelical Alliance website.
